The Cooperative Nursery School employs 2 head teachers, one director/teacher, and 2 assistant teachers. Our current teachers jointly have over 40 years of early childhood teaching experience in the Champaign-Urbana community. All of our teachers are certified and meet the Illinois DCFS teacher qualifications.
Our parents have the option of assisting in the classroom on a rotational basis as teacher assistants and parents that meet DCFS teacher requirements serve as substitute teachers as needed.
All of our teachers and parent volunteers have completed fingerprinting and background checks as well as medical requirements as established by the state of Illinois.
